Front Crawl Swimming Drills | BAFL (Breast Arms/Front Crawl Legs) Drill
The BAFL (Breast Arms/Front Crawl Legs) drill promotes a continuous front crawl kick without the usual dead spot which may occur during full stroke front crawl. This drill encourages a good kick technique — add fins if needed.
Swim using a small breaststroke arm movement and front crawl leg kick.
Breathe above surface whilst performing the breaststroke arms.
Make sure you keep your kick consistent during the drill.
This is a useful drill for coordination and for strengthening the kick.
