The Catch-up drill is an alternating single arm stroke which encourages better arm movement and improves coordination by slowing down your stroke.
“The Catch-up drill is an alternating single arm stroke which encourages better arm movement and improves coordination by slowing down your stroke.
With both arms extended in front of you holding a large float, alternate slow single arm strokes one at a time.
Concentrate on a high elbow position whilst bringing the hands back to the float, promoting the correct position for hand entry.
For an added challenge, remove the float, add fins and a snorkel, then perform 10 kicks in between each arm cycle.”
