Front Crawl Swimming Drills | Catch-up

“The Catch-up drill is an alternating single arm stroke which encourages better arm movement and improves coordination by slowing down your stroke.

With both arms extended in front of you holding a large float, alternate slow single arm strokes one at a time.

Concentrate on a high elbow position whilst bringing the hands back to the float, promoting the correct position for hand entry.

For an added challenge, remove the float, add fins and a snorkel, then perform 10 kicks in between each arm cycle.”
