Front Crawl Swimming Drills | Punch Drill

The Punch Drill promotes slippage through the water by clenching your fists, making pulling harder. By doing so, this engages the forearm more to compensate and when reverting to full stroke with open hands, you will improve your feel for the water.

Fully clench your fist to engage the forearm with the water while swimming front crawl.

Roll the knuckles over and point them down to engage the forearm sooner.

Try 4 strokes open and then closed to feel a better hold on the water.
